The Cranberries is an Irish rock band that was popular in 90 years. The band performed with artists including the Rolling Stones and AC / DC, and in 1995 gave the album No Need To Argue their international breakthrough.

Dolores and the original band members announced that they were in 2009 for the first time in 7 years will reunite for a live tour in late 2009 launch in North America to Europe and early 2010. They will also work on new pieces and a new album will be made.

She is married to Don Burton and has three children: Taylor, Molly and Dakota Rain. She also has a stepson named Donny.

[Edit] History Noel and Mike Hogan, two brothers from Limerick, Ireland started in 1990 a band with drummer Fergal Lawler. Originally the band called The Cranberry Saw Us, a pun on cranberry sauce. Dolores O'Riordan auditioned for the role of lead singer and won, and wrote the text for "Linger". Her voice, ranging from sharp to strong and from top to bottom, the essential characteristic of the sound of the band.

Their self-produced demo tape did well locally, and the band soon took a tape on which a lot of popularity and interest received by the critics. After a big row about music contractor, signed the Cranberries to Island Records. After an unsuccessful first single, broke ties with her manager. Their second single, Linger, and their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can not We? was a huge success in the United States and later in Britain. The next single, Dreams, was also a hit and reached the fourteenth in the U.S. charts.

In 1994 Dolores O'Riordan married Don Burton, the tour manager of the band. O'Riordan's status as frontwoman of the band began to cause tensions within the group while No Need To Argue, their second album, was produced. This album is the hit single Zombie, a protest against the violence between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland in the year 1990. The album the band released an immense popularity throughout Europe and the U.S..

While there have been rumors about O'Riordan's imminent departure from the band, the album To The Faithful Departed released. The album sold well, despite some negative reviews, but not as good as the previous album. During the following years there were increasing rumors about the possible breakup of the band and was a great tour canceled. In 1999 came the album Bury The Hatchet off.

In 2001 the band released the album Wake Up And Smell The Coffee from, which the reviews were ecstatic: "The magic is back!" [Citation needed] The album debuted at number 46 in the U.S. charts, the band seemed back sit on the rails.

"Best Of ..."- compilation entitled Stars was released in 2002, along with a DVD with innovative music videos, even the prices have fallen. [Citation needed]

In 2004, however, the band announced that they would take a break to their individual careers attention. Earlier that year, Dolores O'Riordan of the title song from the movie The Passion of the Christ sang Ave Maria. Her solo album Are You Listening? was released on May 7, 2007. Noel Hogan's new project is "Mono Band."

The Cranberries have decided to postpone the next album. After more than twelve years of incessant tours and promotions, more than 38 million albums sold and concerts for hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world, the band found that it was time for a break.

In August 2009 Dolores O'Riordian released her second solo album from No Baggage. Dolores and also made the original band members announced that they for the first time in 7 years reunite for a live tour in late 2009 in North America will start early 2010 and to Europe [1]. On March 23, 2010 were the Cranberries in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. They will also work on new pieces and a new album will be made [1].
